I had the opportunity to develop and design the full SmartClean High Chair™ EVA insert for the Trio High Chair. The High Chair frame was designed by Dan Corso.
Rough proof of concept models were created with EVA modeling foam and a heat gun using full scale 2D CAD flats. Building the prototype to fit the current Trio High Chair frame helped to gain a better understanding of how to model the inserts in 3D, as well as sell in the concept to the marketing team. I worked alongside engineering on how to create the attachment method for the inserts to the high chair seat back and base, as well as how to create a pivot/hinge within the injection molded inserts
